FRAUD ALERT!
Please be aware that due to a nationwide effort by bad actors to defraud consumers, many members and non-members have received fraudulent texts, emails or phone calls from people posing as Pinal County Federal Credit Union. Due to this we will monitor and limit certain online banking activities. We are also monitoring Zelle and have lowered transaction limits as an additional precaution. This effort serves as a protection for our credit union and its members.
As your financial institution, we strongly advise you against clicking on any links whether in emails or texts or sending any images of personal identification or debit/credit cards to anyone. DO NOT RESPOND, and DO NOT CLICK on any links. We will never ask a member to send images of these things. If you have received a text message or email and clicked on any links, we highly recommend that you have your device scanned for viruses or malware as a protection for you.
Contact Pinal County Federal Credit Union at 520-381-3100 immediately if you receive a suspicious request for private account information.
The key to protecting yourself is to pause and think before clicking on ANY links in text messages. Follow these steps to protect yourself:
- Avoid Clicking on Links: Pinal County Federal Credit Union may ask you to confirm a purchase with Y or N reply, but we won’t ask you to click on links. When in doubt if a text really came from Pinal County FCU, don’t respond to the text message and call us directly at 520-381-3100 to verify.
- Do Not Provide Personal Information: If someone reaches out to you by text, email, or phone and asks for personal information, like your debit or credit card account number, do not provide it. We won’t ask you for your online banking password or your two-factor authentication code.
- Only Use Trusted Contact Info: When in doubt, contact us directly by calling the number on the back of your card or by typing www.pinalcountyfcu.com into your browser. Avoid using any contact information or links provided in suspicious messages.
